From Zero to Busy

Do you see this?! My babies are BOTH in school. These are WAY overdue and if you haven't already seen them on instagram, well here they are in all their 1st day of school glory!

Now here we are, 16 days into this school year and so far so good. They like their classes, Landon's favorite part about being a 1st grader is lunch time and recess. Ava's favorite part about kindergarten is that I am helping her class twice a week. She shows me off to all her friends and I am relishing in this since I know the days where she practically hides me from them are looming. Being a parent volunteer has been fun, makes me appreciate her teacher and teachers in general. Right now there are 30 kids in her class. THIRTY! However the school has this weird schedule so that they are only all together for 1 hour during the day and then on Thursdays. 15 come in the morning and then 15 more come an hour before the others leave. It works but it's basically twice the work for the teacher and volunteers. And luckily there is a volunteer there everyday to help sort the madness. Landon caught on that I was staying to help in Ava's class and is super jealous so we are working on that.

We also celebrated Ava's 5th birthday which turned out super cute if I do say so myself. Thank you pinterest!
This was the after party result:
Success!

We recently attended open house which was a giant fail because we ran out of time and didn't get to eat before we went and the kids were cranky and hungry so we ended up grabbing all the handouts and then ditching it to go get some grub. But we took a picture!

Labor Day was last weekend and in true Sanchez style, we threw together a last minute BBQ at the inlaws and as always had plenty of food and good times!
I'm seriously obsessed with all these littles!

Now that Fall is a mere 2 weeks away (although it hardly feels like it) I am getting super antsy about getting my fall decorations up! Sylvia, I know you're right there with me! This is going to be our first fall in this house and I am anxious to see what the trick-or-treating deal is around here. And since we weren't able to go to Disneyland early in the year like we typically do, we have decided to try out Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland this year. The kids don't know yet, so keep it hush hush. I figure I'll get my Disney craving out now so that I can be good for another year haha. In other news, a couple Sunday's ago, I was asked to be a Primary teacher for the 8-9 year olds and I accepted (ahh!!) and have my 1st lesson to teach this upcoming Sunday. I got to meet my class last week and boy are they quick! Lucky me because I'll definitely have some active participation from them. Especially if I bring in some incentives! Whoo Go church history! Wish me TONS of luck!! My days are officially busy. And here I thought I'd have time to kick back and relax. HA! On top of all that, Omar is totally ditching me to go to Minnesota next week. Of course, it's for work but regardless. It will be his FIRST time on a plane! I'm excited for him, but I can tell he's getting a little nervous about it. ;)
