As most of you know, Landon's 3rd birthday is coming up and we sort of have an idea of what we'd like to do this year. His first birthday was celebrated at a park with a ton of people and me 8 months pregnant with Ava (not fun). For his 2nd, we downsized a bit and just had a smaller family gathering at Omar's parents house which was nice, but complicated at the same time. Explaination: My parents are divorced and have been since I was 2-ish. My mom re married and my step dad has thus always been "dad" to me. However they divorced when I was around 6 or 7. Throughout the years I have always had seperate birthdays and holidays, which as a kid I thought was awesome. Double the presents. But as I got older it became more of a giant inconvenience that my parents couldn't just be in the same room. And until recently the same house. However I have had enough. I grew up with seperate parties but will kids will not. I have decided that this year, instead of catering to their problems I am throwing one birthday for Landon to which they will both be invited to. And I know one will ask "Is your mother going to be there?" or "Is your dad and Debbie going to be there?" and to this I will say "Doesn't matter. I'm not throwing this party for them. Its for Landon." Make sense?
Anyway, parental issues aside. I can't believe that my little boy is going to be 3. How did we go from this little baby.......

how fun! more power to ya with the single party this year! I think its a great idea ;)
