Scene 319 "Potty Training"... ACTION!!

Guess what he's learning this week... for the 7th time. I feel like he should know better already since he's going to be 3 next month. He doesn't think its an urgent matter and therefore refuses to use it (despite his facial expression in the picture).
This is maybe the 7th or 8th time we've tried it. All the other times failed... like this one. I've done everything. Used the whole sink the cheerios bit, bribed with a piece of candy if he does it, even bribed Disneyland, I've put big boy underwear on him so that he feels what its like to sit in his own mess -ew- and he still isn't going for it. I had a lady at Costco say to me "Ohh my goodness!! He's still in diapers!" (she saw the ginormous package of diapers in my basket and that they were a size 6 and not for my little Ava). Then she preceeds to tell me "my daughters son was the same way, until he went to daycare. The daycare ladies told her to not pack any diapers, only big boy underwear and so she did and voila! He was potty trained in 2 days!" Oh ya? Well have him come over and explain the ways of the world to my son and we'll see how it goes. Surprisingly though, today has been okay. Only one accident, zero potty uses. I guess I didn't explain myself enough when I told him to only pee in his chair. After lunch he peed in his chair, the one he sits in when he eats.... oye. Then he came running to the bathroom, took off his big boy underwear and sat on the toilet pretending to pee. Then exclaimed "Mama!! I peed!! Can I have a candy now?" Ya see.. he's looking for loop holes. He knows what he's supposed to do obviously, he just knows that its irritating me that I have to spend $40 a month of his diapers. Plus Ava's which is another $40. Thats $80 people!!! I am starting to get the feeling that Ava will be potty trained before he will.....
