In other news, we are car shopping again. The first time we did this (about a year ago) didn't go so well. But we're confident that this time around we'll find what we want and at the price we want. Omar is finding it convenient to have a wife that will step up and argue with the salesman just as well as anyone else. He's also reeping the benefits of men not paying attention to the register and not fully charging us for things. :/ I've even said it out loud, example: went to Staters, v cut t shirt (wasn't by any means revealing I thought), was standing at checkout and said to the cashier, "I have 3 more 12 packs in the cart" because I only put one on the conveyor belt to be rung up. Theyre too heavy and take up too much room. The cashier was however too distracted and only charged me for one. This has happened more then once. And do I feel cheap? No. However, when old men come up to me and ask if I'm married and where I live, I do feel like I need to have my pepper spray out and ready to be used. Goodtimes.
In the past week I have had to use 4 diapers. Thats it. Ava has taken to using the potty a lot faster then I thought she would. By the end of day 1 she was walking into the bathroom by herself and yelling for me to help her. The only time she wears a diaper now is at bedtime and when she wakes up in the morning, the first thing she does is go into the bathroom, take off the diaper and then come get me to help her. And whats even better is that 3 out of the 4 days this week, the bedtime diaper has been dry! Don't get me wrong, she's had her accidents. Mostly because I wasn't here and Omar didn't hear her asking for "assistence". The test that we have left to conquer is when we leave the house and she isn't wearing a diaper. I have a little backpack in the car full of extra clothes for that specific reason, for both of the kids.
