The kids had a blast as did Omar and myself. It was fun to compare last years trip with this years since the kids are a year older, can interact more and are a bit taller and can therefore go on more rides. Landon was completely ecstatic when he learned that we were going. Ava just knew that she would meet Mickey Mouse and her beloved princesses.
The kids got to meet Belle, Tiana and Ariel aka Landon's girlfriend which he is completely adament about. He tends to bring it up whenever he sees pictures of her and whenever Ava brings out her dolls.
And since we were in Anaheim I thought I'd take the opportunity to get ahold of my sister Rebecca and see if she could come into the park for a visit (she's an annual pass holder so it was no big deal). I was so glad that she was able to come that we were able to spend a little time together. I'm looking forward to spending more time with her.
After the our first day that we spend at CA Adventure in the 90 degree whether, all of us passed out and didn't wake up until 9 am the next morning, where we got a quick breakfast in before heading to the grande finale of our visit.. Disneyland. We enjoyed it so much more because it was 25 degrees cooler, it was cloudy, and the kids were so excited and grateful (they kept saying "thank you momma and daddy for taking us to Disneyland!!" every hour). It was awesome. The Fantasmic! show was amazing and according to Landon, The Pirates of the Caribbean is his favorite ride there. Ava loved everything. A down side to our trip was that on our first day, while at CA Adventure I had 2 water bottles in the stroller tray (it was HOT!) and didn't realize that the lid on one of them wasn't on properly and was therefore spilling into the tray where our camera was. Huge bummer. I had only taken about 8 pictures with it and we still had ALL day there and the next day at the other park. I was just glad that Omar had upgraded his phone the day before and gotten the iphone which takes pretty decent pictures as opposed to his other phone. So we were still okay.
After our 2 day extravaganza at the Disney parks, we decided we were too tired to drive home at 1 in the morning and instead opted to stay another night. By doing so, it gave me the opportunity to visit my other siblings in Costa Mesa. :)
Overall it was a very good weekend away from reality.
