Disneyland this year was a lot of fun! For starters, the kids were really excited to go because they actually remembered last year and knew what they were in for. I thought about going stroller-less this year and then slapped myself and asked my sister if I could borrow her double (big shout out to Gina Sheree!).
SO glad we were able to use that because it came in super handy not only holding all of our snacks, camera, drinks, blankets, etc it also gave the kids a little break from walking while Omar and I manuevered our way through the park. Suprisingly it wasn't busy AT ALL!! I'd never seen Disneyland like that, ever! The tram line wasn't crowded at all, we walked right onto Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. NO LINES!

And the weather? Only totally awesome. Cloudy and cool. Around noon the sun was finally able to come out and thats when things started to get a little crowded but not nearly as bad as I've seen it. We were able to hop into Fantasyland and then practically walk onto Its A Small World. We snagged a killer spot for the parade, had an awesome dinner at the Plaza Inn (thanks to the mousewait app) and also got to sit there for the fireworks show. It was really one of the best Disney trips we've taken. Landon opted to walk for most of the day til his knees started hurting (growth spurt?) and Ava didn't fully wake up til after her half hr nap on me while waiting for the Dumbo ride.
Now, normally we don't buy stupidly expensive toys ESPECIALLY ones from here, but we made an exception as Landon did really well walking around and paying attention. Ava got one also by default :P Landon also got to ride Star Tours for the first time as he is now above the 40 inch mark, 43 to be exact. Omar took him and when they came back Landon said it was "awesome!" and that he got to see Darth Vadar. Who knew he was into Star Wars in the first place, he's never seen any of the movies lol. Anyway, we finished everything really early and to top it off I had a migraine (of course) and mistakenly packed amoxicillan instead of my 500mg ibuprofen. I would! But I'm just happy that the kids enjoyed themselves and that the weather was pleasant. Cheers to our trip next year... where we won't get to pass Ava as a 2 yr old :/ lol.
