A Day at Knott's

Last weekend was Omar's company picnic at Knotts Berry Farm so we packed up the kids and even took reinforcements (Sylvia and Christian) :) Not to mention we knew how much Christian LOVED his boysenberry pie. So we all met at Norms in Anaheim for a bite to eat and then headed on over to Knotts. Luckily the weather wasn't that bad, the morning was all overcast which burned out by the time we got there. The kids kept asking what exactly Knotts was (the last time we went, Landon had just turned 1 and Ava was cooking in my belly), we tried explaining to them that it was kind of like Disneyland but smaller. I didn't want to get their hopes up. So there we were, 4 adults and 2 kids. No stroller. This outta be fun!

About to watch the classic cops and robbers gun show. Landon thought it was hilarious.

Their 1st ride of the day, a smaller version of supreme scream. Still funny though.

We took a break from rides to sit and watch this Snoopy show and as you can see, Landon started to get a little pink. By the time the show was over my shoulders and arms were RED!! The kids were just a tad sun kissed and sweaty since Snoopy didn't think to provide shade.

Landon got his face painted too only he chose a pirate and well, the "eye patch" part got smudged and it started to look like he had gotten into my mascara so we washed it off thinking it would look better when really it made it look worse, like he had a black eye.

Going to an amusement park all day with no stroller is pretty risky. However the kids were pretty good about staying with us. We made sure to catch plenty of shows for them to rest their feet, kept them hydrated, and tried to avoid the souvenir shops that seemed to be around every corner as Landon would sprint on over and grab whatever was on display. At one point, I had Ava on my burnt shoulders because she was too tired to walk (we were on our way to the dinner that Omar's company was having inside the park and couldn't stop) and all of a sudden I felt dead weight on my head. And what do you know, she had fallen asleep on my shoulders with her head on top of mine. Thats not weird at all right? :)
