Conversation with Landon after picking him up from school:

Me: So how was school today?
Landon: good....
*silence*
m: Did you get to play today?
l: ....ya.
*more silence* -unusual because usually he likes to tell me everything.
l: mom.
m: yes?
l: you know what Mia told me today?
m: no, what did she tell you?
l: she said she loved me.
*im trying not to burst into laughter at this point because he is straight faced and not sure how to react.
m: she did? well.... what did you say?
l: i said the same thing that she said.
m: and what was that?
l: THAT I LOVE HER!
*and then he changed the subject :)

Ohhhhh geez.

And this morning when I walked him to class I saw Mia there waiting outside class with a grumpy face UNTIL she saw Landon. Then she brightened up, grabbed his hand and they walked into the classroom together. HA! Is kinder love in the air?
