Summer so far...

Keeping my 2 crazy kids busy has been easier than I had originally anticipated. They are very low maintenance it turns out. ;) All they need really is food, water and to be outdoors. Done. Luckily one of Landon's birthday presents this year was a pretty big pool that has kept them busy most of the day. We just got through a sweltering heat wave here, over 100 degrees for like a week straight. NOT fun. My a/c was on most of that time and we rarely went outside before 6pm.

Thankfully for the 4th of July it wasn't too bad. We had most of the family over for a potluck and fireworks. Wouldn't you know that we coincidently moved into the PERFECT spot to watch the city's fireworks show from the high school. We just put the lawn chairs in the front yard and voila. Instant show. Not to mention all the neighbors with the not so legal fireworks. It was a very fun day/night.

I'm kind of sad that school starts in about a month now... It has been fun though reviewing things with Landon and getting Ava used to writing her name left to right instead of right to left like she's been.
Upcoming events: my 26th birthday on wednesday... (not sure how I feel about this one), a baby shower for my niece, planning a fishing trip for Omar and the kids, planning Ava's birthday ($$), and getting double the school supplies. Luckily I LOVE back to school shopping!!
