Married, working mom of 2 healthy kids who actively wears stretch. Que Fancy!

Getting gorgeously tanned in summmerrrrrrrrr

The kids have been out of school for about a week and I'm ready to send them back... kinda. Okay maybe not. I do enjoy not having to rush around in the morning to get them dressed and make sure Landon is wearing socks and that Ava isn't wearing ALL of her jewelry before shooing them out of the house before realizing I forgot makeup, or keys, and/or my wallet. Mornings are better with a box of cereal and no pressure to look presentable :) The trick has been keeping them busy and having to play referee every 15 minutes. So far we've finger painted a picture for Omar (fathers day), played with side walk chalk (which was short lived), swam in their pool (also short lived when it kept deflating), BBQ-ed, attempted going to the park which also has water park section but were slapped into reality when everyone and their mother was there (over 1000 people easy, I turned that car around so fast!), and had to settle with the sprinklers in the yard. We'll figure it out though. Saturday is Omar's annual company picnic at Six Flags which I'm excited about merely because we get to get out of the house! I mean, what are a 7 yr old and an almost 6 yr old going to do there?! I've been told there is like a Tweety bird land, but lets be honest. The last time I went to Six Flags I was 15 and I DID NOT spend my time there. Looking at the roller coasters now I am reminded that I am old and probably would have a heart attack on them. I used to be so pro roller coaster too. Getting old sucks.

Speaking of old people things, we've got a garden going! Ha! Just kidding, its actually theraputic for us. Omar especially, everyday when he gets home he goes out and waters and is out there tinkering around for a good while. He finally got his fruit trees and is so proud of them. Our zucchini plant is really huge, we've gotten about 5 HUGE zucchini from it and some yellow squash too. The same goes for our mint and basil plants. HUGE!! I don't even know what to do with all the mint it's giving us. We are trying to be patient with the bell peppers, they're taking forever but look pretty ;)

Oh yeah! And we celebrated Landon's birthday! He had requested dinner at Chili's over a party (seriously) and we surprised him with tickets to a Dodger game! It's safe to say the kid had a good time.

We also had the amazing opportunity to be apart of Rod and Arlene's wedding that was on 6/7/2014. It was seriously the most beautiful wedding and so well thought out and the bride and groom did an amazing job on all their handmade decorations! Omar was a groomsman and so I basically had the job of reminding him of all the important dates leading up to it :P He never remembers anything. Needless to say he looked so handsome ;)

Congratulations again to you guys!

My little Ava graduated from kindergarten also, she really blossomed this year and grew up so much. I have to admit, that after volunteering twice a week in her class since August that I'm really going to miss her class. Those kids are going to do great things!

I also had the kids make this for their amazing teacher Mrs. Israel :)

I'm so excited for Landon and Ava to be on the same schedule at school now! 1st and 2nd grade... time really flew.

And this handsome boy turned 2!

Summer is looking to be a good one! We've got a lot of family BBQ's planned, 4th of July (!!!), my birthday, a couple little family trips to take, Ava's birthday, and some family pictures thrown in there! Looking forward to all of it!
