Holy Jeez. I have neglected the blog and I don't feel bad at all. Life is really busy. But for my mom, I'll update you all (she likes the pictures ;) Lets see, since February we have been stacked with baseball practices and games, volunteering, work, homework, general upkeep of the house and doing little by little here and there, and trying to keep ourselves healthy. I know right? Throw in birthdays and holidays and my weekends are gone. But honestly, I like keeping busy. I do crave a day where I have NOTHING planned but then I get bored and end up shopping which can do damage all by itself.
The kids are crazy nut cases. They can fight like cats and dogs one day and then literally the next hour they are playing quietly and nicely. I try not to be noticed when the latter happens. Landon is LOVING baseball. He plays catcher and 1st base and is pretty darn good too! I mean I'm probably a tad biased, but that kid looks so stinkin cute in his catchers gear.
Ava has decided that she wants to play soccer which doesn't start until August (lucky us). So in the mean time, she's been having plenty of play dates with her friend Jazel :) and watching "Frozen" a million times.
We also took training wheels off!!! Omar is doing an amazing job with his health. Every week its another 2-3 pound loss. The last he told me was a grand total of 56 lbs lost! AMAZING I tell ya. We try to do something active every weekend with the kids and luckily MoVal is abundant in hiking and walking trails.
and if all else fails, there is always this baby
Back to my amazing husband though, ;) He totally went all Bob Villa on me and made me these without any help.
I know huh! I'm the worst person to attempt to keep a plant alive let alone veggies and herbs so Ava and him have taken the responsibilities from me. We used some of the basil the other night with dinner and it was SOOO GOOD! The mint I'm going to use with my water just to add a little flavor. We also planted zucchini, yellow squash, and red and green bell peppers. I'm also going to plant chiles and Omar wants to get some fruit trees back there as well. A cumquat, a lemon, and the third tree is still up for discussion so place your votes.
This weekend we have a baseball game (per the usual) at 8am, a birthday dinner for Omar's mom and Sunday Omar has a bachelor party to attend (groomsmen have it hard, haha). At some point I plan to paint our master bathroom FINALLY! And put up the new fixtures. Pictures will definitely be taken and I'll post those probably months from now seeing as I barely have free time. Unless I stay up late and blog which definitely won't happen because I'm old and go to bed early now, its sad. But I love my bed too much. Oh ya! And it's MAY! Landon turns 7 on the 29th and has requested that we go to Chili's. Odd birthday request but I am more than happy to oblige. If it keeps me from planning a party, I am down. We have planned a little birthday surprise for him though, but that won't be revealed til the day of ;) And then there is the matter of summer vacation being right around the corner. Making "busy" packets as we speak!
