Halloween is over!!! And you know what that means?! The holiday season is literally like 3 weeks away. I have been on etsy.com everyday looking for crafty inspirations I already want to put up Christmas decorations but Omar is all bahumbug and wants to be like every other person and do it after Thanksgiving. :P Speaking of the grande ol turkey day, I have opted to do my own, meaning cook my own meal this year instead of relying on my aunts and dad to do it for me ;) That and I've always wanted to try Paula Dean's coca cola ham. And this is my chance. No turkey this year, a couple years ago Omar and I tried to deep fry one and $$ later we had one, although I didn't think it was worth the Costco trip to buy all the oil. I will definitely be blogging about my first ham experience. I can do mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, biscuits (thanks to Pillsbury), and whatever else people make... If all else fails I will be showing up at one of my relatives house, unannounced, and hungry. What is family for?
Heres a pic of the kids before going trick or treating, Omar's sister Belinda had bought a bunch of Power Rangers costumes for her sons to play in so she lent a couple to Landon and Ava so that they could play too.
Here they are! Pre trunk or treat at church, which was beautiful. They had candles hanging from pumpkins in the trees (it was outside). By the end of it, Ava could barely pick up her pumpkin and was dragging it behind her.
Also!! Yesterday was my not so little bothers birthday. I congratulated him on making it out alive from our constant fights when we were kids. 20 years old, working 2 jobs, going to school AND still finding time to go to the gym EVERYDAY and have a girlfriend... I don't know how he does it all. It will also be my older brothers birthday this month. He's turning the dirty thirty which is why I chose this picture below. Its the only picture with Greg, Gina, me, and Jake. :)
