The final countdown

Can you believe that Christmas is almost here?! I can't, I can't believe that I still dont' have all my shopping done with, I can't believe that I did ZERO baking this year, and I can't believe that it hasn't stopped raining for 5 days. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the rain, in fact I love it. I love that it puts me to sleep at night, that it makes the sky darker which in turn makes my kids take longer naps. I love that I get to wear boots and my coats and scarves. I love that I have an excuse as to why I didn't do my hair today. However, it is pretty scary to drive in. REALLY scary.

Anyway, this past week my mom's side of the family celebrated Christmas a little early so that mostly everyone could be there. It was nice to see everyone, all the "little boy cousins" had their girlfriends there, including my brother. My aunts went all out when it came to the food, which was great because I was starving! The kids got to open 1 gift from gramma (my mom) and haven't stopped playing with them since, success right? And they haven't stopped asking me when they can open the rest of the gifts. Good news though, Omar is finally feeling better and so are the kids. Last week I put my foot down and forced them into their Christmas outfits so that I could attempt at taking pictures with my lousy phone since our camera was dead with the charger to be no where in sight. Typical. The outcome was suprisingly cute, after a couple tantrums and threats were made. So Happy Holidays everyone! Be safe and remember who's birthday we are celebrating... besides my sister in laws, my aunts and a couple good friends. ;)
