A Sunbeam!

Jesus wants me for a sunbeam,
To shine for Him each day;
In every way try to please Him,
At home, at school, at play.

This past Sunday was Landon's first day as a sunbeam. I think I was more anxious then he was. I thought the worst and expected for him to throw a mean fit because he wasn't going to be in nursery anymore. But he did no such thing. I bribed him all sacrament meeting to behave so that he could go to his sunbeam class and meet new friends. However sacrament ended up being horrifying. I usually bring some cereal for them and a water bottle for Landon and a sippy cup for Ava, but since we are weening her off the cup I just brought the water bottle. And who spills it? Landon. All over the floor. Thankfully we were in the back of church and in the first half of the cultural hall so it was all hard wood flooring. But nonetheless, the ENTIRE bottle of water went everywhere. I jumped up and ran to get paper towels from the bathroom to try and soak it up. Omar went to get a couple rags from one of the closets. Once we got it all cleaned up I was so embarrassed and mad, which was probably very easily read pn my face because one of the ladies in front of us turned around and assured me that she'd been there before. It kinda made me feel a little better, then again I probably would have said the same thing to someone in my position. And the fun didn't end there!! Towards the end of the meeting Ava someone escaped Omar's grasp and took off running around our section. I was like, "really?!!" So I got up, gave her my best threatening look and walked to get her as she ran away some more. SOOOO EMBARRASSING!! By the time it was over, I couldn't wait to take them to their classes. :P I decided it was best if I took Landon to his class and Omar would drop Ava off at nursery. I walked him in where he was greeted by the primary president and asked to sit where all the little sunbeams were. I decided to try and back out of the room unnoticed and just watch him from outside the room. And what do ya know. He did great! When I went to pick him up he didn't want to leave his new friends. And by the time we got home and had lunch this is what he looked like:

That's what happens when your church meeting is at 11:30 and over at 2:30. We are going to have to figure out a better nap time schedule.

I also recently went to an old friends sister's wedding. It was so nice to get together with my friends from way back when. We've known eachother since we were 11 and 12. Weird. Now we are practically grown ups. :)
