Married, working mom of 2 healthy kids who actively wears stretch. Que Fancy!

Almost the end

Now that 4th of July is over... its all packing up stuff from here til the 19th. We are moving to NORTH San Bernardino. I refused to live south of the 210 freeway :P Our new place is a little bigger and a lot newer. Vaulted ceilings, better use of space. Granted, it is another apartment (ugh), but we get use of 3 pools, 2 spas, a brand spankin new fitness center that wil be utilized by ME, and a bunch of other perks. I opted for an upstairs unit not because I like going up and down stairs, but because I like to have my blinds open, I like natural light, and with a down stairs unit I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. PLUS, I can feel okay with leaving windows open for those gnarly Santa Ana winds that will rip right through us now. Thats what I'll miss about Redlands, no wind. Ever. However our new place is 3 miles from Omar's work whereas now he travels 44 miles round trip. Gas will be saved!

Now to cover the holiday, it was AMAZING! Almost everyone that we invited came and brought their fave summer dishes. We had so much food! Despite it being really muggy (it rained as we set up), everyone had a good time.

me and my girls.

our super awesome set up

Ava, mom and Grampa (he totally skipped out before the fireworks started!)

All in all, it was a super fun night. I'm going to miss having dibs on the lawn and being able to host everyone. Maybe if I get in good with the neighbors we can come back for next year :)

In other news, a couple weeks ago Omar and I went to Wal Mart (yuck) and bought some floaties for the kids to wear in the pool. When we made it to the pool Ava was the first to test them out. She totally was in the pool without anyone holding her and swimming around like it was no big deal. Landon on the other hand FREAKED out. He wouldn't let go of my neck and was screaming at the top of his lungs to be put back on the steps. :( So frustrating. The water is not his friend. He won't even get his face wet, which weirds me out because as a baby he loved the water! Anyway, that is what we are working with this summer. Yay us!
