Busy May

May is showing no signs of slowing down and now that I have a virus free computer I'll fill you in! I'm going to be a great aunt soon and thus showered my great nephew with plenty of diapers and wipes. I have zero pictures from the baby shower as my camera was useless and in the trunk of my sister in laws car. Just know, I didn't win ANY of the games, the food was great, and this baby will be the best dressed kid leaving the hospital. ;) Our family also celebrated a combination of my mother in law's birthday AND her and my father in law's 40th anniversary! That's right, 40! So we got down on some carne asada tacos, beans, rice, some crab ceviche, bacon wrapped hot dogs, and my MIL's famous salsa. Which THIS white girl could actually eat! Once, again I have no pictures. Well, no I do but they're on Omar's phone. Anyway, Landon's 5th birthday is in 3 weeks and I have nothing planned. Omar votes on going to a baseball game whereas I wanted to have a little party.. then again, I always want to have a little party ;) We'll see who wins that battle. Funny story of the week: Told Ava to come with me to get an ice cream cone. Instead of grabbing a barbie to bring along like a normal 3 yr old girl, she goes into her room and finds my old Betsy Johnson bag. She then proceeds to stuff it full of toys and makes sure to include her $1 bill and then comes out with sunglasses on and says, "ready! lets go mom!" What have I created? Needless to say, the people at the ice cream parlor got a good laugh and told her she was "fabulous". A new word to her already growing vocabulary.
