School boy

My little boy loves kindergarten! We were very lucky to be in the "zone" for his school BECAUSE they offer "advanced" kinder. Meaning, that from the time he started til Oct 12th they are basically being assessed to see if they are ready for all day kinder. Right now Landon starts at 850 and I pick him up at 1210. If he were invited to all day kinder he wouldn't get out until 330 :) How they get invited is through school work and how fast they are able to pick up on the material AND their behavior. Which I KNEW would be an issue as Landon is a copy cat. He mimics everything and anything that he sees another kid doing. Good or bad. Our first week he did good. Got a ticket everyday (tickets are good, they accumulate them so they can buy prizes with them) and the second week he only got 2 tickets out of a possible 5. The first offense: poking kids around him while Mrs. Ramsey was trying to give a lesson. Offense #2: Making fart noises. And the third was saying the word "boobs". After day 2 of this behavior and taking with Landon I started to get the feeling that it wasn't him starting the poking and farting. And it may sound biased, but I know my kid. He isn't one to start bad behavior. But he'll copy it. Mrs. Ramsey also realized it and had a little talk with Landon (as did I) not to give the other kids a reason to tattle on him or get him into trouble. I also noticed that it was the SAME little girl that was telling on him each time and came to the conclusion that she likes him ;) Anyway, ever since the talk he's been awesome. Getting his work done, listening, participating, etc. Mrs. Ramsey said he's on the right track for all day kinder which makes me super proud. We had open house last week and so I bought him a Kendall Kangaroo shirt, yay for school pride!!! As for me and Ava, we are getting a lot of things done! Errands and such, cleaning, and taking plenty of naps :)

His 1st kinder craft :) and the only kid in class with green eyes :) They're actually hazel but how do you illustrate that with construction paper eyes ;)
