Traditions

Welp, the kids have successfully made sure that the tradition of breaking digital cameras every couple years stays true. So long Canon. Granted, it was a pretty crappy camera with its mediocre picture quality and terrible battery life. Nonetheless, I am now fully dependent on my iPhone now. Womp womp womp.

The house is coming along though! Haha, we still have a TON of work to do. I cleaned out the garage and organized everything (mostly). We can now put the car in there ;) My kitchen is coming along, I lined all the shelves and drawers.. there's like a ba-gillion shelves in there. I also organized my hall closet and Omar put all his new tools away (xmas presents). The next major thing to tackle is the leak from the sky light which is reared its ugly head again. We thought that we had fixed it with some silicon where the sky light meets the roof, but noooooo. We may have to re-tar and replace the flashing that is in place now. It's pretty nerve racking when water is leaking from a light bulb.. that's ON!

Skylight aside, we did have a wonderful Christmas. The kids were pleasantly surprised when they woke up Christmas day and found a truck load of gifts under the tree. Ava's finale gift was a Princess Bike complete with tassels on the handle bars and a basket for her Barbies. Landon's was a giant remote control monster truck thing. The grandparents didn't disappoint either! Christmas Eve we went to my dad's for dinner and opened gifts (yay for a Lowe's gift card!) and then Christmas day went to Omar's parents for gifts and tamales, YUM! We left with full hearts and full tummies.

Landon is on vacation from school for 2 1/2 more weeks, luckily his teacher gave me optional packets to keep him busy. I won't tell him that they're optional. He's just going to do them :P Because THIS is what happens when he's bored
He sucked on a cup so that it would stick to his mouth. Why?!!??

Happy New Year!
