Loose Teeth & A Wedding

Remember that bump that Landon had on his gums? Well we found out last week that it was in fact the result of an abscess. Poor kid had to have it removed, his 1st baby tooth had to be yanked. He was a tad traumatized by it but I reminded him that the tooth fairy was going to have to come and pick up the tooth and leave some money. He immediately started to plan what he was going to buy and where we would need to go. Fortunately the dentist allowed me to take the infected tooth home with us so that he could leave it under his pillow. Don't worry, I left it in the baggie that they put it in! Trying to keep him from spitting was tough, I had to change his gauze every couple minutes because he'd fill it with saliva. Not a good time, but we made up for it with some frozen yogurt and an impromptu thunderstorm complete with lightening that knocked out the power for a quick second. It was this same power outage that totally screwed with my new thermostat panel therefore making mother's day a hot one. We couldn't get the a/c to turn on because the panel was dead :( We endured with a little slip n slide fun.

We also were able to escape to the beach on Saturday, but not to play in the sand or water. We went for Saul and Yvette's wedding! Trying to explain to the kids that, yes we were in fact going to the beach HOWEVER they were not going to be able to get wet was a toughy. They did pretty well til the very end of all the family pictures and decided that now would be a good time to get wet. Ava went in and soaked her dress and got it completely full of sand and Landon wasn't too bad. Needless to say, we had to stop at Wal Mart to grab a quick change of clothes for her to wear during the reception.

Aside from getting lost and sitting in traffic for forever, it was a good day!
