Omar wanted to try and get Landon to "dip his feet in the water" but as soon as Landon saw it come remotely close to his toes, he was back to the blanket throwing sand in his hood. All Omar could say was, "that's my boy." Meanwhile, Ava and I admired the water and watched the sea gulls and pelicans fly along the coast. She would grunt every time they flew over her as if to warn them.
But just as I started to get all professional photographer, the camera battery died... it would. Luckily, Omar had his phone in his pocket, mine was in the car.
Here is a picture of Landon and Omar as the water got close to their feet. When we were done with the beach (it was getting nippy), we got back into the car, sandy feet and all, and started to head home. When we got into San Marcos, Omar gets a little anxious to find the Loserkids store. So, me being the awesome wife that I am, get off the freeway AGAIN and head towards the shopping center where I thought it was. But instead of finding the store, we found ourselves being heros. I was driving in the shopping center, and picked the most random aisle to go down to cut across the middle of the shopping center. As I am going down this aisle, I see a kid about my brothers age, pointing to the ground and yelling. I slow down, and look on the other side of the car he is standing next to and see a guy getting pummeled by some loser on top of him. I slam on the brakes and roll down my window. By this time, the loser has jumped off the kid and is in his getaway vehicle already. So Omar gets out of the car and hands the kid a bunch of baby wipes to wipe off his face that was completely covered in blood. I couldn't tell you what he was supposed to look like. We ask him what happened, and apparently the loser d bag was trying to steal his car (a junky looking honda thing) and since he said no, the loser jumped on him. I guess the whole time, the kids "friend" was trying to get attention from someone to help. So I told him to call the police. Thats when I noticed the security cameras above us. Omar went into the Wal Mart that they belonged to and told them what happened, they came out helped out the kid, police came, etc. You may be asking, didn't you have the kids in the backseat? Well ya... looking back on it, it could have ended up a lot worse. And thats when we decided to head home, FOR REAL this time. However, no road trip is a road trip without In-N-Out.
And yes... Landon ate the whole thing.
