Last week, Omar and his dad ordered flowers for his moms birthday (today) and yesterday the ones from his dad came and surprise surprise! The original order was a dozen red roses in a bouquet, in a ruby red mosaic vase. What we got was a jungle of foliage and 6 red roses and 6 white roses. I have never seen so much green in a flower arrangement in my life. Sooo not worth the sixty something dollars his dad paid for them. I was seriously thinking of driving to Costco and filling it in with more flowers because this thing was just pathetic. Today the arrangement that Omar ordered is supposed to come and we are crossing our fingers that it's not going to be as bad as the last one. Not to mention that 20 minutes into getting the flowers, Landon managed to climb on top of the table and pluck two of the white roses from the vase and hit them against the table til they were petal-less. Nice. Thats my son.
On to another thing thats bugging me, lol. When Omar and I got married, most of the gifts that we recieved at the wedding (mostly appliance) were kept at my moms house.. since we didnt have room for them. Well since we are in the home buying process I thought, Hey! Lets get our stuff out and see what we got (because I have since forgotten) so we wont buy doubles. Well I call up my mom, ask her if its okay if I come over and look through my stuff. She says, "ya sure, no problem". Well when I get to her house, I go to my old closet, look through the endless boxes that are in there, and what do you know... I cant find my stuff!! I ask my mom if she moved it and shes doesnt remember. Long story short, she lost our stuff. And doesnt feel the need to find it til she "feels like it." Aye my mother. So when i went over to pick up a mattress for my dad, i got every other item there that was mine before it either got lost or accidently sold. She was wondering why I took Landon's old swing. Why would I leave it there? Whenever she sees the kids its here at my house. So before I got blamed for the mess because apparently "all my stuff is there". Ok well time to go to a lunch for the mom in law. At least she doesn't complain about my stuff, lol.
